Do you find yourself wondering, like many others, if your time is better spent on building your social media following or finetuning your shop after launching your business? So many of us, especially in the beginning, focus on building the number of followers on our social pages. With the amount of work that goes into it, is it worth it?

Many people make a great living as social influencers, and honestly, it would be awesome if we could all make money on Facebook or Instagram all day - but you have a business to run.

Ask yourself - are any of your followers converting to sales? Do you have quality people on your pages? Is your time investment on those platforms giving you business enough in your shop to make it worthwhile?

When it comes to quality followers - IT’S NOT ABOUT THE NUMBERS!

In this week’s podcast, I’m going to discuss something that many of you may not want to hear. We’re going in-depth about my experience in the beginning when it came to my social presence - and how it most definitely did not translate into sales. To be frank, zero sales in my first year of business were from social media. Yep.

I’ve found that in those crucial early days of opening shop, my time was much better spent improving upon my e-commerce page - not on social media. More effort put towards adding products to your business will give you a much better return because there’s a very different audience on your selling platform of choice.

Join me as I get into the real deal when it comes to social media marketing. I’m going in-depth on why social may not be working for you, and what you can do instead if it isn’t. I’ll tell you exactly why you don’t have to waste precious time trying to convince people who follow you to buy - you have people who are lining up already!

What You’ll Learn in This Episode:

  • How social media may not be your ideal sales platform.
  • Why trying to convince people to purchase your products on social is a wasted effort.
  • Where you can find your best audience - people that are willing to buy!
  • I’ll go into detail about my struggle with social marketing in my first year, and how I knew it wasn’t the greatest selling stage.
  • You’ll also discover how to use your time more wisely and for a better return on your investment!
